The Mark 25(R) Braking System uses a combined Yaw Rate and Acceleration Sensor. The Yaw Rate/Lateral Acceleration Sensor is a combined sensor and is located under the center console behind the gear shifter assembly.

The yaw rate portion of the sensor is used to detect any swerving motion of the vehicle.

The lateral acceleration portion of the sensor is used to inform the ESP control module of the amount of lateral acceleration forces during cornering.
