Glow Plug: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Remove generator (Refer to ELECTRICAL/CHARGING/GENERATOR - REMOVAL) .
  3. Disconnect glow plug electrical connectors. See Fig 2.
    NOTE: The intake manifold inlet tube must be removed to remove the cylinder # 3 glow plug. See Fig 1.

    1 - CYLINDER HEAD COVER/INTAKE MANIFOLD
    2 - AIR INLET TUBE GASKET
    3 - INTAKE MANIFOLD AIR INLET TUBE
    4 - RETAINING BOLTS
  4. Remove glow plugs from cylinder head. See Fig 2.
