Front Suspension: Knuckle: Installation

Fig 1: Locating Upper Ball Joint Stud Nut At Upper Control Arm

Install the steering knuckle and nut (1) to the upper ball joint stud. Tighten to 45 N.m (33 ft. lbs.).

Install the steering knuckle and nut to the lower ball joint stud (1). Tighten to 105 N.m (77 ft. lbs.).

Install the tie rod end and nut onto the steering knuckle. Tighten to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).

Install the Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) and bolt. Tighten to 22 N.m (16 ft. lbs.).

Install the disc brake dust shield and three hex bolts (1). Tighten to 22 N.m (16 ft. lbs.).

Install the front wheel hub. (Refer to SUSPENSION/FRONT/HUB / BEARING - INSTALLATION) .
Install the front disc brake rotor (1). (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/ROTORS - INSTALLATION) .

Install the front disc brake caliper (1). (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPERS - INSTALLATION) .
Install the front wheel and tire assembly. (Refer to TIRES/WHEELS - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
Lower the vehicle and check vehicle alignment. (Refer to SUSPENSION/WHEEL ALIGNMENT - SPECIFICATIONS) .
