Engine Coolant Temp Sensor: Removal
WARNING:
HOT, PRESSURIZED COOLANT CAN CAUSE INJURY BY SCALDING. COOLING SYSTEM MUST BE PARTIALLY DRAINED BEFORE REMOVING THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
- Drain cooling system below engine coolant temperature sensor level (Refer to COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
- Disconnect negative cable from remote jumper terminal. See Figure.
- With the engine cold, disconnect coolant sensor electrical connector.
- Remove sensor.
