Section 106 (Interior/Exterior): DECKLID/Liftgate: Hinge: Removal

  1. Release decklid latch and open decklid.
  2. Support decklid on a suitable prop rod.
  3. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, lightly mark the outline of the decklid hinge to assist installation.
  4. Remove rear wheels.
  5. Remove wheel well splash shields.
  6. Remove bolts attaching hinge to trunk pan from underneath, in wheel well area.
  7. Remove bolts attaching decklid hinge to the trunk pan. See Fig 1
  8. Remove bolts attaching decklid hinge to the decklid.
  9. Remove hinge.
