Power Distribution Center: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Dodge Viper. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Power Distribution Center (PDC) is serviced as a unit with the body wire harness. If any internal circuit of the PDC or the PDC housing is faulty or damaged, the entire PDC and body wire harness unit must be replaced.

For complete circuit diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAM INFORMATION for appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, further details on wire harness routing and retention, as well as pin-out and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Disconnect each of the engine compartment wire harness connectors.
  3. Remove the fasteners that secure each of the engine compartment wire harness ground eyelets to the vehicle body and chassis components.
  4. Disengage each of the retainers that secure the engine compartment wire harness to the vehicle body and chassis components.
  5. Disengage the PDC housing.
  6. Remove remaining wire harness connectors to body harness.
  7. Remove the PDC and the wire harness as a unit.
