Controller-Occupant Restraint

  1. Open hood.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
    WARNING: Wait two minutes for the airbag system reserve capacitor to discharge before beginning any airbag system or component service. Failure to do so may result in accidental airbag deployment, serious or fatal injury.
  3. Remove the center console. Refer to REMOVAL .
  4. Remove Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) mounting screws (1).
  5. Disconnect the two ORC 32-way connectors (3, referred to as C1 and C2 in the diagnostic information and wiring).
  6. Remove ORC (2) from vehicle.
