Generator - Installation

NOTE: Install all mounting bolts and hand start before tightening to specifications.

1. Install generator (1) to mounting bracket (2).
2. Install generator mounting bolts (3) and (6). Tighten bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
3. Install generator idler pulley (5) and mounting bolt (4) to generator (1). Tighten bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).




4. Connect field wire connector (1) into generator.
5. Install B+ terminal (4) and nut (3) to generator mounting stud. Tighten nut to 13 Nm (115 in. lbs.)
6. Snap plastic protective cover (2) to B+ terminal.




7. Install power steering pump, Power Steering Pump - Installation.
8. Install drive belt, Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
9. Install air box assembly, Air Cleaner Housing - Installation.
10. Connect negative battery cable, tighten nut to 4.5 Nm (40 in. lbs.).
