Crankshaft Position Sensor - Removal






2.0, 2.4L

NOTE: The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located at the rear of the cylinder block, near the transmission.





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle and support.





3. Remove heat shield retaining bolt.
4. Remove heat shield.
5. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector to the crankshaft position sensor.





6. Remove the crankshaft position sensor bolt.
7. Remove the sensor.
