Crankshaft Position Sensor - Removal

The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor is mounted into the right rear side of the cylinder block.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

2. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Push back the heatshield (1) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.





4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.





5. Remove the sensor mounting bolt (2).

6. Carefully twist the sensor (1) from the cylinder block.





7. The CKP sensor O-ring (1) can be reused if not damaged.
