Steering System: Gear: Installation

Install the steering gear (1) onto the crossmember (3).
Install the steering gear to crossmember bolts (4) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the front suspension crossmember (3). Refer to CROSSMEMBER, REAR SUSPENSION, INSTALLATION .
NOTE:
If removed, install the power transfer unit. Refer to INSTALLATION .
If a NEW steering gear is installed, programming is required. Refer to EPS LEARN PROCEDURE .
