Lumbar Control Switch
REMOVAL
WARNING:
Disable the airbag system before attempting any front seat diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable and wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
- Position the seat being serviced all the way forward.
- Remove the outboard seat cushion side trim panel from the seat. Refer to SIDE SHIELDS, SEAT CUSHION, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the electric connector from the lumbar control switch.
1 - Lumbar Control Switch 2 - Electric Connector - Using Trim Stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, carefully disengage the two tabs that secure the lumbar control switch to the seat cushion side trim panel.

INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Be certain the connector is fully engaged to the switch.
- Be certain the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
