Intake Air Temperature

The PCM/ECM converts resistance of Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor to degrees in same manner as engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Intake air temperature is used by PCM/ECM to adjust fuel delivery and spark timing according to incoming air density.
