Clearing Codes
On all models, disconnect negative battery cable to clear trouble codes from ECU memory after malfunction has been repaired.
On 1.0L and 1.6L, codes can also be cleared by removing the back-up fuse from relay block (located next to battery) for at least 10 seconds with ignition off and ambient temperature less than 68°F (20°C).
On 1.3L, codes can also be cleared by removing No. 1 EFI fuse from relay block (located next to battery) for at least 10 seconds with ignition off and ambient temperature less than 68°F (20°C).
NOTE:
ALWAYS use a fuse puller when disconnecting a fuse. The fuse puller is located at upper section of inside fuse block.
