Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair

1982 FRONT WHEEL DRIVE MODELS

1. Disconnect main fusible link in engine compartment.
2. Remove steering column cover.
3. Disconnect speed control switch wiring harness connector and remove wiper control knob from end of turn signal lever.
4. Remove speed control switch attaching screws.
5. Remove switch and harness from steering column.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Use of a guide wire is recommended for installing wiring harness of new speed control switch on tilt steering columns.
