Air Switching System Test
- Remove air cleaner. Disconnect downstream air hose from switch/relief valve. Start engine. With engine coolant above 150°F (67°C), air should be coming from downstream air port of switch/relief valve.
- If air is coming from downstream port, go to SOLENOID KICKER CIRCUIT TEST . If not, go to step 3).
- With air cleaner removed and engine running, disconnect vacuum line from air switch/relief valve. Connect a vacuum gauge to line. There should be no vacuum reading. If so, replace air switch/relief valve. If vacuum is present, replace CVSCC valve.
