On-Board Diagnostics: Notes

The Monitor 2000 is used to recall stored codes. The read-out box can be used to check 4 different system modes. These are: Diagnostic Test Mode, Circuit Actuation Test Mode (ATM test), Sensor Test Mode and Switch Test Mode.

The Diagnostic Test Mode is used to retrieve fault codes that may be stored in the computer. The Circuit Actuation Test Mode (ATM Test) is used to check out specific component systems. The Sensor Test Mode is used to check the output signals of the sensors as received by the computer. Sensor access codes are used in this mode. The Switch Test Mode is used to determine if specific switch inputs are being received by the computer.
