NOTE:
Both turbo and non-turbo systems use backpressure type EGR systems. A backpressure transducer measures amount of exhaust backpressure on the exhaust side of the EGR valve and varies strength of the vacuum signal applied to the EGR valve. The transducer adjusts the EGR signal to provide programmed amounts of EGR under all conditions.
