EFC System: Description
The Electronic Fuel Control (EFC) system is used on rear wheel drive cars. The EFC system is an electronically-controlled system that closely manages air/fuel ratio and ignition timing.
The Spark Control Computer (SCC) is the heart of the system. This computer provides the capability of igniting a lean air/fuel mixture according to different modes of engine operation. In addition, during closed loop operation, the computer maintains the air/fuel mixture close to the ideal ratio of 14.7:1.
