CCS2 - Speed Control Servo
- Connect diagnostic readout tool to engine harness connector. Connect voltmeter to Tan/Red wire of speed control servo harness connector and ground. Place system in ATM Test Mode 08. Turn speed control switch to "ON" position. If voltmeter is pulsating between zero and 12 volts, vacuum solenoid is okay. Go to next step. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, go to step 5). If voltmeter reads between zero and one volt, go to step 6).
- Turn ignition off and connect voltmeter to Light Green/Red wire of speed control servo harness connector and ground. Turn ignition on and turn speed control switch to "ON" position. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, go to step 3). If voltmeter reads between zero and one volt, go to step 4).
- Turn ignition off and unplug 60-way connector from engine control module. Connect voltmeter to cavity No. 60 of 60-way connector and ground. Turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, logic board is defective. Replace engine control module. If voltmeter reads between zero and one volt, repair wire of cavity No. 60 for an open circuit to speed control servo connector.NOTE: Before replacing engine control module, always ensure that cavity terminals are okay and not damaged. Also check for proper connections and wiring.
- Connect voltmeter to Light Green/Red wire of speed control servo harness and ground. Unplug 60-way connector and turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, logic board is defective. Replace engine control module. If voltmeter reads between zero and one volt, repair wire of cavity No. 60 for short circuit to ground from logic board to speed control servo connector.
- Turn ignition off and unplug 60-way connector. Connect voltmeter to cavity No. 53 of 60-way connector and ground. Turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, logic board is defective. Replace engine control module. If voltmeter reads between zero and one volt, repair wire of cavity No. 53 for open circuit to speed control servo connector.
- Connect voltmeter to Tan/Red wire of speed control servo harness and ground. Unplug 60-way connector and turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, logic board is defective. Replace engine control module. If voltmeter reads between zero and one volt, go to next step.
- With speed control switch in "ON" position, turn ignition off. Connect voltmeter to Dark Blue/Red wire of speed control servo harness connector and ground. Turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, replace speed control servo. If voltmeter still reads between zero and one volt, go to next step.
- Connect voltmeter to Dark Blue/Red wire of brake switch harness connector and ground. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, repair Dark Blue/Red wire for an open circuit to speed control servo. If voltmeter still reads between zero and one volt, go to next step.
- Connect voltmeter to Yellow/Red wire of brake switch harness connector and ground. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, replace brake switch. If voltmeter still reads zero, repair Yellow/Red wire for an open circuit to wiring harness splice.
