Fault Codes: Notes
Fault codes (or trouble codes) are 2 digit numbers that identify which circuit is bad. In most cases the fault codes do not identify which component is bad. Therefore, a fault code is only the result, not the reason for the problem. There are some cases in which the fault code is the reason for the problem. It is important that the test procedure be followed in order to fully understand the possible cause of the fault code.
The Chrysler throttle body fuel injection system is equipped with on-board diagnostic capabilities which store certain trouble codes in the logic module when a system malfunction occurs. These codes may be recalled to aid in system diagnosis. The following list presents these codes and the system malfunctions which they represent.
