Coolant Temperature Sensor

The coolant temperature sensor monitors engine operating temperature. The sensor is mounted in the thermostat housing. The coolant sensor provides data to SMEC on the engine operating temperature. SMEC uses this information to assist in determining proper air/fuel mixture at various temperatures. The sensor is also used to operate the electric cooling fan.
