Sensor Test Mode

  1. The sensor test allows the output of 7 sensors and the state of 3 switches to be checked with engine off. This provides a way to check a sensor, wiring harness, and SMEC for proper operation. This mode is also used to clear all fault codes.
  2. Sensor codes are 2-digit codes similar to ATM codes. The DRB-II Tester (C-4805 ) MUST be used. The "CHECK ENGINE" light will not function in this mode. Put system into Diagnostic Test Mode and wait for "55" to appear on display.
  3. Press "READ/HOLD" key until "READ" is displayed. Press "F3" key, then enter sensor test code and press "ENTER" key. Press "READ/HOLD" key until "HOLD" is displayed.
NOTE: Since sensor test codes are the same as ATM codes, the ATM test circuit will turn on before "HOLD" is displayed.
  4. To select another sensor, go to step 3). Divide all displayed readings by 10 for actual reading. Multiply coolant sensor readings by 10 for actual readings. Battery voltage readings are actual on display.
