Fuel Injector (3.9L/5.2L/5.9L TBI Models): Removal

Remove air cleaner assembly. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove injector hold-down clamp Torx screw. See Fig 1.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage loose spacer under clamp.

Using a small screwdriver and the area in front of hold-down clamp for leverage, life the caps off injectors. Using a small screwdriver placed in hole in front of electrical connector, gently pry the injectors from pods. See Fig 2. Make sure each injector lower "O" ring has been removed from pod.
