Test 1A - Identifying Vehicle Equipment & System Problems
- Connect DRB-II to Chrysler Collision Detection (CCD) bus connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using DRB-II, select BODY SYSTEM. If DRB-II does not display BUS OPERATIONAL, refer to BODY VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS tests. If DRB-II displays BUS OPERATIONAL, go to next step.
- Using DRB-II, select BODY COMPUTER MODULE. If DRB-II displays NO RESPONSE, refer to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS tests. If DRB-II does not display NO RESPONSE, using DRB-II, select ELECTRONIC CLUSTER MODULE (if equipped). If DRB-II does not display BUS OPERATIONAL, refer to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS tests.
- If DRB-II displays BUS OPERATIONAL, select MECHANICAL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MODULE (if equipped) using DRB-II. If DRB-II displays NO RESPONSE, refer to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS tests. If DRB-II does not display NO RESPONSE, select COMPASS/MINI-TRIP MODULE (if equipped) using DRB-II.
- If DRB-II displays NO RESPONSE, refer to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS tests. If DRB-II does not display NO RESPONSE, refer to DIAGNOSTIC TEST DIRECTORY table for specific diagnosis.
