TEST 15A - Checking Left Pod Switch For Open

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .
NOTE: This test is only for inoperative courtesy lights controlled by left pod switch.
  1. Close side door. Turn courtesy lights on by sliding left pod switch. If courtesy lights are on, system is operational. Perform VERIFICATION TEST - VERIFICATION OF REPAIRS . If courtesy lights are off, disconnect left pod switch assembly Black connector. Check connector condition and clean or repair connector as necessary.
  2. Put DRB-II in ohmmeter mode. Probe terminal No. 6 (Black wire) of left pod switch Black connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST - VERIFICATION OF REPAIRS . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, connect a jumper wire between terminals No. 2 (Yellow wire) and No. 6 (Black wire) of left pod switch Black connector.
  3. Also connect a jumper wire between terminals No. 4 (Pink wire) and No. 5 (Pink/Light Blue wire) of left pod switch Black connector. If courtesy lights are on, replace left pod switch. Perform VERIFICATION TEST - VERIFICATION OF REPAIRS . If courtesy lights are off, repair open Yellow wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST - VERIFICATION OF REPAIRS .
