TEST 8A - Diagnosing ECO (MPG) Function-Compass/Mini-Trip

NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Ensure no speed sensor faults are present before proceeding. See appropriate G - TESTS W/ CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section. If no speed sensor faults are present, turn ignition switch to ON position. Using DRB-II, read engine controller status.
- If DRB-II does not display ACTIVE ON BUS, refer to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS tests. If DRB-II displays ACTIVE ON BUS, replace body controller. Perform VERIFICATION TEST - VERIFICATION OF REPAIRS .
