Window Motor Test

  1. Remove door trim panel. See WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect motor connector. Connect positive battery test lead to either motor terminal. Connect negative battery test lead to remaining motor terminal. Motor should rotate, moving window up or down. If motor does not rotate, go to next step.
  2. Reverse battery lead connections. If motor still does not rotate, remove motor. See WINDOW MOTOR & REGULATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If motor does rotate up or down, motor should be reversed one more time to complete a full-window travel inspection.
