Test 7A - Mic Circuit Board Faulty

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Mechanical Instrument Cluster (MIC) Black connector. With DRB-II in ohmmeter mode, check resistance on MIC Black connector sensor ground circuit (Black/Light Green wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open circuit in Black/Light Green wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  2. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, remove problem gauge(s) and inspect printed circuit board and its connectors. If printed circuit board is not okay, replace defective circuit board. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If printed circuit board is okay, replace defective gauge(s). Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
