Test 19H - Diagnosing Door Lock/Unlock Circuit
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
in this article. For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
in this article.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- If problem is with sliding side door lock, check door contacts before proceeding. Repair door contacts as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1B . If contacts are okay and on all other doors, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Gain access to inoperative door lock switch. Disconnect door lock motor connector. Using DRB in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door lock relay output circuit (Orange/Black wire) at door lock switch connector.
- Observe DRB while depressing door lock switch to lock position. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Orange/Black wire. Perform TEST VER-1B. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Check voltage on door unlock relay output circuit (Pink/Black wire) at door lock switch connector. Observe DRB while depressing door lock switch to unlock position. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Pink/Black wire. Perform TEST VER-1B. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace door lock motor. Perform TEST VER-1B.
NOTE:
Test sequence skips from TEST 19H to TEST 19J. No test procedures have been omitted.
