Test 20F - Repairing Power Door Lock Problems W/ RKE

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Remove door lock relay (fourth relay from right, bottom row) from micro relay center located behind center console. Using DRB in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of ground circuit (Black wire) at lock relay connector terminal "E". If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Using DRB in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door lock relay control circuit (Orange/White wire) at door lock relay connector. Depress door lock switch to LOCK position while observing DRB voltage. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace door lock relay. Perform TEST VER-1B. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind center console. Using DRB in voltmeter mode, backprobe door lock relay control circuit (Orange/White wire) at Blue BCM connector terminal No. 17. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open Orange/White wire. Perform TEST VER-1B. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace BCM. Perform TEST VER-1B.
