Test 37D - Checking For Open In Seat Belt Switch Circuit

- Disconnect left front seat belt switch connector. Connector is located under left front seat. Connect a jumper wire between seat belt switch input circuit (Light Green/Red) and system ground circuit (Black wire) at seat belt switch connector. Using DRB, read seat belt switch status. If DRB displays SEAT BELT CLOSED, replace left front seat belt switch. Perform TEST VER-1B . If DRB does not display SEAT BELT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Disconnect jumper wire. Connect jumper wire between seat belt switch input circuit (Light Green/Red wire) at seat belt switch connector and ground. If DRB displays SEAT BELT CLOSED, repair open in Black wire. Perform TEST VER-1B. If DRB does not display SEAT BELT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind center console. Connect a jumper wire between seat belt switch input circuit (Light Green/Red wire) and ground circuit (Black wire) at Blue BCM connector. If DRB displays SEAT BELT CLOSED, repair open in Light Green/Red wire. Perform TEST VER-1B. If DRB does not display SEAT BELT CLOSED, replace BCM. Perform TEST VER-1B.
