Test 4C - EIC Switch Operation

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Using DRB, read EIC TRIP switch status. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Press TRIP button on EIC. If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. Perform TEST VER-1B. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  3. Release TRIP button. Using DRB, read EIC US/METRIC switch status. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. Perform TEST VER-1B. If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  4. Press and hold US/METRIC button on EIC. If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. Perform TEST VER-1B. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  5. Release US/METRIC button. Using DRB, read EIC TRIP RESET switch status. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. Perform TEST VER-1B. If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  6. Press and hold TRIP RESET button on EIC. If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. Perform TEST VER-1B. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, system is operating properly at this time. Perform TEST VER-1B.
