Section 249 (Cruise Control System): Description

The speed (cruise) control system is electronically controlled and vacuum operated. System is electronically controlled by Powertrain Control Module (PCM). System consists of PCM, servo, speed control switch, vacuum reservoir, brake switch, vehicle distance (speed) sensor, and park/neutral position switch (automatic transmission). System controls are located on the steering wheel and consist of ON/OFF, RESUME/ACCEL, and SET/DECEL or SET/COAST buttons.
