Test SC-4A - Checking Speed Control Brake Switch Sense

- Disconnect brake switch 6-pin connector. Check connector, and clean and repair as necessary. Turn ignition on. With DRB in voltmeter mode, probe brake switch connector terminal No. 1, brake switch sense circuit (White/Pink wire).
- If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to TEST SC-4B . If voltage is greater than 10 volts, connect a jumper wire between brake switch connector terminals No. 1, brake switch sense circuit (White/Pink wire) and No. 2, ground circuit (Black wire or Black/White wire).
- Using DRB read input status of brake switch. If DRB displays brake switch RELEASED, replace brake switch. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SC-VER . If DRB does not display brake switch RELEASED, repair open in Black wire or Black/White wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SC-VER .
