Test 45A - Repairing Wiper Problem During Wash Cycle

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Chrysler LeBaron. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
  1. Turn wiper switch to intermittent position. If wipers do not operate in intermittent mode, go to TEST 43B. If wipers operate in intermittent mode, check washer pump operation. If washer pump does not operate, go to TEST 44A. If washer pump operates, go to next step.
  2. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM) Black connector, located behind right kick panel. Put DRB in voltmeter mode. Measure voltage at BCM Black connector terminal No. 10 (Brown wire). With probe connected, engage washers. If voltage is more than 10 volts while engaging switch, replace BCM. If voltage is less than 10 volts while engaging switch, repair open in Brown wire between washer pump and BCM.
