CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Black connector. Body controller is located behind right side kick panel. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If low fuel warning lamp is off, replace BCM. If low fuel warning lamp is on, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect instrument cluster Black connector. Put DRB in ohmmeter mode. Measure resistance at instrument cluster Black connector terminal No. 9 (Light Blue/Red wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Light Blue/Red wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace mechanical instrument cluster.
