  1. Remove and inspect message center fuse (No. 14) from fuse/junction block. Fuse/junction block is located behind end cover, on left side of instrument panel. If fuse is not blown, go to TEST 38C.
  2. If fuse is blown, use DRB-II in ohmmeter mode to check resistance on fused ignition feed circuit (Dark Blue/White wire) of fuse No. 14. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace fuse No. 14. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  3. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, disconnect Body Controller Module (BCM) Bone connector. Module is located behind right kick panel. With DRB-II in ohmmeter mode, check resistance on fused ignition feed circuit (Dark Blue/White wire) of fuse No. 14. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Dark Blue/White wire and replace fuse No. 14. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace BCM and fuse No. 14. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
