Idle Speed Control Servo (1.8L)

  1. Idle speed control servo is located on throttle body. Disconnect idle speed control servo connector. Check continuity of idle speed control servo coil.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between idle speed control servo connector terminals No. 1 and 2. See Figure . Ohmmeter should read 5-35 ohms at 68°F (20°C). Connect a 6-volt power source across idle speed control servo connector terminals No. 1 and 2. Idle speed control servo should operate. Replace idle speed control servo if it does not test as described.
