Test 35G - Repairing Shorted Door Lock Switch Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Remove left front door trim panel. Disconnect door lock switch connector. Using DRB, read door lock switch voltage. If voltage is less than 0.2 volt, replace left front door switch. If voltage is more than 0.2 volt, go to next step.
  2. Remove right front door trim panel. Disconnect door lock switch connector. Using DRB, read door lock switch voltage. If voltage is less than 0.2 volt, replace right front door switch. If voltage is more than 0.2 volt, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Bone connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Using DRB in voltmeter mode, check voltage on BCM Bone connector terminal No. 9 (Orange/Violet wire). If voltage is less than 0.2 volt, replace BCM. If voltage is more than 0.2 volt, short to voltage in Orange/Violet wire.
