Modulator Assembly: Removal
- Disconnect battery cables. Remove battery and battery tray. Remove CAB from battery tray support bracket. Remove support bracket. Remove acid shield from modulator assembly. Remove tube nuts attaching hydraulic brakeline tube bundle to modulator assembly, thread savers and proportioning valves. Remove hydraulic brakelines from modulator assembly.
- Raise vehicle. Disconnect 10-pin wiring harness connector from modulator assembly. Remove bolt attaching speed control servo assembly (if equipped) to modulator assembly bracket, and move speed control servo assembly aside. Loosen, but DO NOT remove, modulator bracket-to-frame rail bolts. Lower vehicle. Remove modulator and modulator bracket assembly from vehicle. Remove modulator from modulator bracket.
NOTE:
Before installing modulator assembly, ensure 3 modulator assembly bushings are not damaged.
