Scan Tool Diagnostic Mode
- Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC) table for connector location. See Fig 1

Application DLC Location Concorde, Intrepid, LHS, New Yorker & Vision Right Of Steering Column, Next To Center Console - Start engine (if possible). With foot on brake, move transmission shift lever through all positions, ending in Park. Turn A/C switch on and then off (if equipped).
- Turn engine off. Without starting engine again, turn ignition on. Using scan tool, access and record trouble codes.
- When scan tool trouble code message is obtained, refer to appropriate test number. To clear trouble codes, see CLEARING TROUBLE CODES.
