Test 38A - Open Courtesy Lamp Switch Circuit
NOTE:

- WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.3L
- WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.5L
- Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Turn courtesy lamp dash switch on. Using scan tool, read courtesy lamp switch status. If scan tool displays COURTESY SW CLOSED, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind right kick panel. If scan tool does not display COURTESY SW CLOSED, go to next step.
- Disconnect headlamp switch 8-pin connector from behind switch. Connect jumper wire between courtesy lamp switch 8-pin connector terminals No. 2 (Black wire) and No. 3 (Yellow/Red wire). Using scan tool, read courtesy lamp switch status. If scan tool displays COURTESY SW CLOSED, replace courtesy lamp dash switch. If scan tool does not display COURTESY SW CLOSED, go to next step.
- Disconnect jumper wire. Connect jumper wire between headlamp switch 8-pin connector terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Red wire) and chassis ground. Using scan tool, read courtesy lamp switch status. If scan tool displays COURTESY SW CLOSED, repair open Black wire. If scan tool does not display COURTESY SW CLOSED, go to next step.
- Disconnect jumper wire. Access BCM connectors. Connect jumper wire between chassis ground and BCM Gray connector terminal No. 11 (Yellow/Red wire). Using scan tool, read courtesy lamp switch status. If scan tool displays COURTESY SW CLOSED, repair open Yellow/Red wire. If scan tool does not display COURTESY SW CLOSED, replace BCM.
