Camshaft Position Sensor: Installation

- If reusing camshaft position sensor, replace "O" ring if necessary. Clean old paper spacer from camshaft end of camshaft position sensor.
- Install NEW paper spacer on camshaft end of camshaft position sensor. On all camshaft position sensors, lubricate "O" ring with engine oil.
- Install camshaft position sensor in timing chain cover and rotate into position. Push camshaft position sensor downward until it contacts the camshaft gear.
- Install and tighten retaining bolt to specification while holding camshaft position sensor downward against the camshaft gear. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install electrical connector.
