Test 98A - Left Front Door Unlock Problem With Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER
section in this article. Perform TEST VER-1
VERIFICATION TEST after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Gain access to the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See Figure . Disconnect RKE module Black connector. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "A" (Pink wire). If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "E" (Pink/Violet wire). Depress and hold left front door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink/Violet wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace RKE module.
