Motor Continues Running With Switch In Off Position
- Check wiper motor wiring harness for short between low speed motor feed terminal No. 3 (Brown/White wire), or high speed motor feed terminal No. 2 (Red/Yellow wire) and battery or ignition voltage.
- Check for faulty wiper intermittent relay or HI-LO relay. Check circuit from intermittent relay cavity "B" to HI-LO relay cavity "B" (Light Green/Black wire) for short to battery or ignition voltage.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM Bone 24-pin J3 connector. See Figure . Check Dark Green/Yellow wire circuit between Bone 24-pin J3 connector, terminal No. 1 and intermittent wiper relay terminal "C" for short to ground.
- Using voltmeter, connect positive lead to BCM Bone 24-pin J3 connector, terminal No. 16 (Dark Green/Red wire). Connect voltmeter negative lead to ground. Turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads more than zero volts, check wiper switch and wiring.
- Connect voltmeter positive lead to BCM Bone 24-pin J3 connector, terminal No. 10 (Brown wire). If reading is 10-15 volts, check circuit for short to battery or ignition voltage. If reading is zero volts, replace BCM.
