Test 7A - No Response From OTIS Module

NOTE: For connector terminal identification see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Overhead Travel Information System (OTIS) module 6-pin connector. OTIS module is mounted to headliner. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and OTIS module 6-pin connector terminal No. 8 (Black/Light Green wire). If resistance is 10 ohms or more, repair open Black/Light Green wire. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and OTIS module 6-pin connector terminal No. 2 (Dark Blue/White wire). If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Dark Blue/White wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Measure voltage between ground and OTIS module 6-pin connector terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet wire). If voltage is more than .5 volt, replace OTIS module. If voltage is .5 volt or less, go to next step.
  4. Disconnect junction block Natural 8-pin connector C11. Measure voltage between ground and junction block Natural 8-pin connector C11 terminal No. 4 (Yellow/Violet wire). If voltage is .5 volt or less, repair open Yellow/Violet wire between junction block and OTIS module. If voltage is more than .5 volt, go to next step.
  5. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is connected to junction block. Ensure junction block 20-pin internal connector pins are not damaged, repair as necessary. If 20-pin internal connector is okay, replace BCM.
