Engine Controls - Tests W/Codes - 2.7L: Introduction: Notes

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and energy systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

Perform all steps in appropriate BASIC TESTING - 2.7L article. If no fault is found while performing BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES, proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are found during self-diagnostics, proceed to appropriate TESTS W/O CODES - 2.7L article.
