Control Circuit Test

The starter control circuit is comprised of the following components:

• Starter Motor With Integral Solenoid
• Engine Starter Motor Relay
• Clutch Interlock Switch
• Ignition Switch
• Battery
• All Related Wiring & Connections
• Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
  CAUTION: Before performing any starter tests, ignition and fuel systems must be disabled.
• To disable ignition and fuel systems, disconnect Automatic Shutdown Relay (ASD). The ASD relay is located in Power Distribution Center (PDC). Refer to PDC cover for proper relay location.
