For SKIM Theft Alarm System

Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Go to ENGINE, MISC. Using appropriate PIN code for this vehicle, place SKIM in Secured Access mode. Select UPDATE SECRET KEY DATA. Data will be transferred from SKIM to PCM. This is required for vehicle to start with new PCM.

If 3 attempts are made to enter secured access mode using an incorrect PIN, secured access mode will be locked out for one hour. To exit out of lock out mode, leave ignition key in RUN position for one hour. Ensure all accessories are turned off. Monitor battery state and connect a battery charger if necessary.
